Summertime reading isn't all it's cracked up to be.
The book survived, so all your Christen fans don't freak out.
Don't get me wrong, I love my kids and spending time with them. I try to do an activity each day or go somewhere to keep them occupied and stimulated during the summer. But I see all these people reading all these great "summer books" and wonder if I'll ever catch up. I just finished the latest BDB book and it's been out for how long? March! If you don't know the series, check it out below.
So my question to the busy parents or book bloggers out there: How do you find the time? Do I need to take a course in skim reading or something? Do you shuffle your kids off to camp all summer? Do you tie them up in the basement for a couple of hours? Benadryl? Do you leave them an extra hour at daycare? Because my days are like below.
There is no real point to this post, just me ranting about not having free time. But I'm sure I'm not the only one. So I'll dedicate this post to all the moms out there that never get time for themselves and who selflessly give to their kids. Big hugs and here's to more reading time when school starts.
